Marionette lines are the shadows that start from the corner of the mouth and run down towards the jawline, either side of the chin. They look like the lines on marionette dolls and hence are often described as marionette lines. Loss of skin collagen and loss of mid-face volume causes the skin on the face to descend down towards the jaw. This results in the formation of jowls and marionette lines.
Marionette lines can be treated in a number of ways including dermal fillers, mini-threads and thread-lifts . Dermal fillers are injected in the area between the chin, jawline and corner of the mouth to re-contour the area, provide support to the corners of the mouth and reduce the appearance of the marionette shadows.

As with any injection, it is possible that you may experience some redness, swelling, tenderness and bruising. These may take a 2-3 days to resolve and bruises sometimes longer. We advise that you don’t plan treatments around important commitments and allow at least 2 weeks between treatment and an important social or work event.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Your practitioner first cleans your skin with rubbing alcohol. They mark the injection site with a white marker and inject a dermal filler along the marionette line.
After the injection, the practitioner gently massages the treated area to evenly distribute the filler and prevent the formation of lumps.
The treatment typically lasts under 30 minutes.
